Management of Chronic Conditions with Naturopathic Medicine
Many patients seek Naturopathic Medicine because they are concerned about the health risks and financial consequences of pharmaceuticals. Naturopathic therapies are generally safer, less toxic, and have fewer side effects than conventional therapies. As a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, and a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, I am uniquely qualified to administer these therapies because I have a comprehensive understanding of physiology, pharmacology, botanical medicine, nutritional biochemistry, and interactions between natural and drug therapies. All of my recommendations are evidence-based, as thorough clinical research has been utilized to evaluate their safety and efficacy.
I can help you decrease the need for prescription medications or make informed recommendations about replacing them with natural alternatives. Additionally, my therapies can help to mitigate the unwanted side effects of prescription medication.
Scope of Practice:
Remote consultations have many benefits over traveling to a clinic, especially because Licensed and Board Certified Naturopathic Specialists are few and difficult to find. Some of the many benefits of remote consultations include reduced cost associated with travel, greater convenience, easier scheduling, better access to specialty care, more individualized treatments, and collaboration with your primary care physician or conventional medical team.
I believe that, in most cases, integrating naturopathic care with current conventional care is the best way to achieve optimal health. Therefore, my consultation services are designed to be integrated with, not to take the place of, treatment from a primary care doctor. Patients should continue to work with their primary care providers and any other medical specialists with whom they have consulted. I will collaborate with conventional care providers to integrate and individualize your healthcare. While, I can offer my professional opinion about the efficacy and use of prescribed pharmaceuticals, the prescribing doctor must make any final recommendations about these medications.“First, do no harm” is the foremost of a Naturopathic Physician’s guiding principles; therefore, my first priority is to help you achieve your health goals safely. The best way to do so is to collaborate with a patient’s other physicians before implementing any changes in a prescription medication regimen. An integrative and collaborative approach to healthcare is the best way to help a patient achieve his or her healthcare goals.
Ordering Products and Supplements:
Licensed NDs have a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical grade products and supplements that are third party tested for quality, potency, and purity. These are not available over the counter, at pharmacies, or even at your local health food or vitamin shop; a Licensed Naturopathic Physician generally has exclusive access to these products and supplements. If supplements are part of your care plan, they can be purchased through Integrative Care Consulting, LLC, at a discounted rate to help assure each patient’s access to the highest quality products in the most convenient manner.
